Flourish Care Raises Oversubscribed $5.7 Million Seed Funding | Adonis Raises $40M Series C

Flourish Care has raised an oversubscribed $5.7 million seed round to expand its insurance-covered doula network across the United States, as demand for maternal support services continues to grow.

The funding round was led by Zeal Capital Partners, with participation from Create Health Ventures, Collide Capital, Rogue Women’s Fund, Symphonic Capital, Slater Technology Fund, Catalytic Impact Foundation, and Capita3, among others.

The company is scaling its hybrid care model—combining in-person and virtual doula support—at a time when most U.S. states are moving toward reimbursing doula services through insurance. Currently, 46 states are either reimbursing or in the process of implementing coverage, removing a major barrier to access.

Founded by Melissa Bowley, Flourish Care aims to make doula support a standard part of maternal healthcare. The platform connects families with credentialed, community-based doulas and integrates services into existing healthcare workflows, including health plans, hospitals, and community organizations.

Since its launch in 2020, the company has supported thousands of families and now serves more than 20 million covered lives through partnerships with commercial insurers and Medicaid programs.

Meanwhile, Adonis has raised $40 million in a Series C funding round, signaling continued investor interest in solutions aimed at improving healthcare financial operations.
